Who's Who? LGS Oct wk 5 - scraplift

Hello hello!  Happy Monday to you!

I'm here showing off my scraplift DT layout.  Since there was an extra Monday this month, Lets Get Sketchy decided to do something a little different.  Instead of a weekly sketch to follow, we are having a scraplift challenge, of a past LGS sketch and of a fellow designer.  My designer being Laurie!  And what an awesome designer she is!  Be sure to check out her work.

Here is Laurie's layout in which I lifted...

and here is my DT lift...

The first picture is of me, taken in 1972 and the second is my daughter, taken in 1995.  Look at us, same age, same pose, same hair, and same smile.  This is so cool!  Like mother, like daughter wouldnt you say?  I just love it!

Now, out of the layouts posted this week at Lets Get Sketchy, pick one and scraplift it!  How much fun is that?  So many choices!  You have through November 4 to complete it. I'm excited to see what you come up with.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

center piece - LGS Oct wk4

Goood morning!  Hope your weekend was good!
Mine was fabulous!  I spent it at a weekend scrapbook retreat with my scrappy girls and I was very productive.

Here I have this weeks sketch from Lets Get Sketchy.  I sure hope you are finding some time to participate.  There is always a nice prize to win!

and here is my take on it...

This is the center piece I made for my DIL's baby shower.  I got the idea from Pinterest and had to give it a try.  It was pretty simple to make and I just LOVE how it turned out!  So, of course, I had to scrap it.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope to see you back!

Time Capsule - LGS Oct wk3

Good morning!
Oh, what a scrappy weekend I had and it was so fun!  I hold monthly crops during the colder months and this past Saturday was my first one of the season and it was such a delight to have all my girls back!  I've missed them!  I was able to get my scrapping on with such pleasant company.

I have here my DT layout for Lets Get Sketchy! Oct wk3.  I do hope you are participating with their sketches, since more time has been allowed.  This makes it so much easier on many, I'm sure :)

Here is the sketch...

and here is my design...

This is my daughter with her time capsule that her 3rd grade class made for the new millennium and its not to be opened until she graduates.  We tucked it away safely and when graduation came along in 2009 (nine years later) we dug it out!  It was so exciting going through all that she stored away.  This is such a cool thing to do!  Great memories!

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope to see you back :)

I Love my Cats - LGS Oct wk 2

Hello Hello and happy Tuesday!
I'm here today to show off my DT layout for Lets Get Sketchy Oct week 2 sketch.  Its a fun one!  Join in with us, remember you have the full month to complete our sketches!

We have also added a new twist at LGS, you can become a guest designer!  Starting with the November sketches, if you are interested, all you have to do when you upload your layout is put the letters "GDT" beside your name and thats it!  Easy peasy!  One of you will be randomly chosen.  Head over to Lets Get Sketchy for full details.

Ok, on to this weeks sketch, here is what we had to work with...

and here is my take on it...

I'm just crazy about my cats and they are so spoiled!  But thats ok, they spoil me too.  Life is good with my furry boys :)

Thanks for stopping by and please leave a comment.  I love the feedback, it keeps me going!

Love 2 Shop - LGS Oct wk 1

Good morning!

I'm showing off my design team layout for this weeks sketch at Lets Get Sketchy!  Challenge rules have changed up a bit, which I will explain after you see my layout.

This is the sketch.  A fun one to work with!  So much you can do with this one!

and here is my take...

This is my daughter and I enjoying another hobby of mine, shopping!  Spending the day together in Chicago.   Instead of ribbon cuts below the picture, I advertised shopping brands that I like.  I like how it turned out.  I wonder if those company brands are willing to pay me for advertising?  Haha!

As I stated above, LGS is changing up their weekly challenges.  Starting today, October 12 - Instead of the deadline for each challenge being weekly, you now have until the end of the month to complete each sketch.  There will be seperate links to each weekly sketch.  Sketches will still be posted on Mondays of each week and there will continue to be 4 sketches a month.
We are hoping this helps and gives you more time to join in the fun!
Because of the changes you will now be required to complete 3 of the 4 sketches in order to be in the drawing for the sponsored prize each month.

Ok, now that its all explained, get over to Lets Get Sketchy and get to work on this weeks sketch!  While you are there check out all the DT's work for inspiration!

Good luck and Happy Scrapping!  Thanks for stopping by!
